itHighway is looking for Senior PHP Developers who will be involved in the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) of projects. Primary duties include the planning of, testing, and implementation of code. Doing so in a timely manner and the ability to work under tight deadlines is a requirement. Secondary duties include interfacing with other teams: product management, creative designers, quality assurance, and other developers. Working together to produce solid results is essential; taking the initiative to be productive and efficient is a definite plus.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• At least 5 years advanced and practical experience with PHP
• Proficiency with SQL, XML, CSS, Javascript, and HTML
• Experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP5 (LAMP)
• Experience with source/version control, issue tracking, and code deployment
• Web 2.0/AJAX, XML-RPC experience
• Prepare necessary pre/post project documentation
• Provide periodic project status reporting as needed
• Coordinate with our internal teams to spec and develop common infrastructure
• MVC Framework(s)
• Object oriented design, programming
• Relational Database (Postgres is a plus)
• Internationalization, character encoding experience
• Security planning and implementation
• Linux environment
• Working knowledge about E-commerce payment solution (VeriSign, Linkpoint, CyberSource, Authorize.Net, TrustCommerce, Click&Buy all pluses)
